Florham Park Democrats

Please vote Democratic this year!

2016 Florham Park Council Candidate: Peter Nicolas

Peter Nicolas of Townsend Drive is employed by the most prestigious professional services firm in the US and wants to bring his business acumen and 30+ years of management experience to Council to solve important local issues.

As a Council member he will:

Get control of the multiple Sewer Fee increases we have seen in the past few years.

Initiate applications for Sustainable Jersey grants for our borough and schools

Continue opposition initiated against the proposed Pilgrim Oil Pipeline through our community.

Peter holds an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BA in Political Science and Government Administration from Montclair State University.  He moved here with his wife and daughter in 1994.

Florham Park is referred to as A Community of Volunteers and Peter exemplifies that. Since 2013 he has enhanced the education experience of more than 1,000 Florham Park students at Brooklake Elementary, Ridgedale Middle School, and Holy Family Catholic School with free financial literacy education via PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) volunteers. He is contributing to seniors as Florham Park’s AARP Membership Chair. He is also a Florham Park Rotary Club member, in Leadership Morris Class of 2016, a Morris County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador for more than a dozen local businesses, and Little Red SchoolhouseLead Docent.

Other volunteer participation includes: Neighborhood Watch Block Captain, PwC Golf and Tennis teams Captain, Knights of Columbus Chess Tournament for Kids, Greek Festival in Roseland, and helps the less fortunate annually as volunteer for Heroes for Kids Cancer Research, and for Interfaith Food Pantry.

An independent and strategic thinker with a big picture focus, he will bring his passion and professional services experience to Florham Park Borough Council.
